Black History Program
Ferry Street Resource Center will present a Black History Month Program on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The program will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ in Niles. There will be entertainment, special performances and musical selections. For more information, call us at 687-9860. We hope to see you there.
Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30 February 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2011. Call the Center for details about what papers you need to bring with you.
Tutoring for grades K-12.
Tutoring help in any subject! Tutoring is every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. Tutoring is provided by Key Club members from Niles High School. This is FREE.

Ferry Street Volunteers
The staff and volunteers of Ferry Street Resource Center would like to welcome back Shannon McKeil a returning volunteer for the Center for the tutoring program. Also would like to welcome new volunteer Maddy Rodtz who is involved with athletics at Niles High School.

A Special Thank You to all our other volunteers without whose help we would not be able to bring so many wonderful and helpful programs to the community. Please, whenever you are at Ferry Street Resource Center, take time to say thank you to any of our volunteers you meet. Whether it has been the Teeny Bopper program, Daughters of Imani, field trips, etc. these volunteers are the literal life blood of the Ferry Street Resource Center. They are very much deserving of a smile, a pat on the back, handshake or a simple hello.
And we very much appreciate those who from time to time bring by packaged snacks or juices for our pre-schoolers or even drop off extra reams of copy paper or other supplies to make sure there are plenty for the kids. Please know that your support is greatly appreciated. LB
